Disney has been dropping television series based on several iconic characters and has been quite successful. The Mandalorian starring Pedro Pascal and Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi have brought back the essence of these characters, creating room for more.
Samuel L. Jackson’s Mace Windu, as it seems, might have the screen prominence reflecting on the saga of the Jedi Master. The character’s return in a solo adventure may seem far-fetched as of now, but the possibility is not entirely off the table. Jackson, who recently appeared in his solo MCU ride for Disney+ in Secret Invasion, might just secure some more breath for the character.
Samuel L. Jackson Is All In To Reprise His Star Wars Role
Recently, Disney’s Star Wars prequel series hit the milestone of its 25th anniversary. Celebrating Lucasfilm’s achievement, Samuel L. Jackson spoke with Empire, showing his keen interest in reprising the role again. Jackson’s character, Mace Windu, didn’t die in Episode III – Revenge Of The Sith, the most plausible explanation considering Jackson’s brief response to his death. “He’s not dead,” Jackson told the outlet.
Of course, Jackson’s Star Wars tenure, for most fans, was engrossing since his first appearance in George Lucas’ $1 billion film, Episode I – The Phantom Menace. As his co-star, Ewan McGregor, got a solo adventure in Obi-Wan Kenobi, the road for Jackson for the solo television series hints at the potential greenlight.
Jackson is all ready to arm up again, pun intended. His hand was sliced off by Anakin and may have endured the Palpatine’s Force Lighting and Coruscant Sky. However, his death was not confirmed. Back to Jackson’s return, the actor, again, responds with a short answer, “Everything yes.” As Jackson teased his return withholding a long celebratory statement might just prove that the actor got a solo series for his character.
Fans Are Not So Hyped For Samuel L. Jackson’s Mace Windu Return
The update of Jackson showing his keen interest in the return of Mace Windu has rattled fans propelling a huge debate online. For most fans, the character should be at rest while others are as excited as Jackson for his return to the franchise. Still, the cloud of doubt is looming on the galaxy of the huge franchise.
Again, I’m torn on this. On the one hand, I always thought he could have survived and wanted him to return. But now, after all the Disney Star Wars we’ve gotten where I haven’t been exactly blown away, I don’t know if I want be left feeling….meh? by a project like this.

He looked fat and old in the first 1 and a half episodes of Secret Wars… That's as far as I got with that trash, I'm assuming he didn't grow more photogenic and less tired.

Still, Disney might just greenlight the project, and as for Jackson’s return, the 75-year-old is ready for one last game for the character. Also, it would be interesting to see how Disney pulls off a supposedly dead character’s saga in another adventure.
