Kate Beckinsale appeared in a 2006 interview and lamented how Hollywood tabloids would put a twist on anything they find about celebrities. The host shared how actors need to be careful about what they say to the press because they can take their words and give them a new meaning.
For example, Beckinsale once said she likes foot rubs, and now the magazines are claiming she has a “crazy foot fetish.” The actress responded to Late Night with Conan O’Brien:
“I wear high heels a few times a week… I’m hoping I don’t get the fetish thing. I do have a hard time. I think s*x is sort of enough on its own. I don’t need poo and feet and poultry and animals.”
O’Brien remained speechless while Beckinsale was mentioning these odds things about fetishes. He remarked:
“This is like an incredibly revealing therapy session. Do you like it when people rub your feet? Yes, I mean, but enough with poo. Is poo anything you’d like to talk about now?”
Beckinsale laughed and said no, and then went to share more of her thoughts about fetishes. She continued:
“I find it an odd thing when people get really freaky about feet. It’s the same sort of thing. I remember when I was a teenager, my stepfather called me into the room, and we have all these funny documentaries in England. There was a guy who’d found out that he only got overwhelmingly aroused when he put on a Speedo swimming cap. Like, how does that go, you know?”
The host and the Serendipity star continued their fun-filled chat about fetishes and the guy who likes Speedo swimming caps.
Kate Beckinsale Got Her Toes Sucked In A Show
In line with foot fetishes, Kate Beckinsale shared via Collider how her co-star sucked her toes in the Paramount+ dramedy Guilty Party. She stated:
“I felt so bad for her. That’s the thing. I’m not incredibly ticklish on my feet, which was lovely because we managed to do a lot of takes without me peeing my pants or anything, but I felt so bad for her. She was on set for a day, and that’s what she had to do.”
The actress admitted she felt awful for what her co-star had to do, but she made sure her make-up artist cleaned and scrubbed her feet:
“We had an awkward, ‘Oh, hello. Nice to meet you.’ And the next thing, she was swallowing my feet. She was so nice as well. I felt terrible.”
Hopefully, the tabloids won’t take this controversial scene out of context again to create another unnecessary drama for Beckinsale.
