Sandler recently appeared on an episode of the Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend podcast, where he discussed the transitional phase in his career. At the same time, host Conan O’Brien also asked Sandler if he felt star-struck by a celebrity whom he wasn’t familiar with while growing up.

“You know what — Taylor Swift. Because what she means to my kids, I get it a little f**kin’ jumpy. Just ’cause I don’t wanna blow it for my kids.”

Sandler made the above statement referencing singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, who has a massive fan following across the globe. O’Brien also agreed with Sandler’s sentiment regarding Swift’s stardom, while Sandler implied that he only became a fan of Swift through his children.

During his conversation with O’Brien, Snadler expanded upon his thoughts about Taylor Swift’s stardom by comparing her to the legendary English Rock band The Beatles, who were at the peak of their popularity during the 1960s.

“People talk about The Beatles of it all and her. I mean, man, so many smash hits. There’s not a word my kids don’t know.”

Sandler made the above statement addressing the comparisons between The Beatles and Taylor Swift because of their fan-following, cultural relevance, and the crazy level of success their songs have achieved.

Sandler also added that he himself knew the lyrics to most of Swift’s songs, professing his admiration for the Blank Space hitmaker. Sandler further compared Swift to The Beatles by pointing out how all of Swift’s songs are unskippable similar to The Beatles’ music.

“There’s not a song you skip. That’s pretty darn cool.”

Sandler candidly shared his thoughts on Swift in the above words. Sandler was also spotted attending the Grammy-winning singer’s show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, with his two daughters, in August 2023. Hence, Sandler’s comments and actions prove that he is a massive fan of Swift, which makes his feeling of being star-struck by her understandable.
