Speaking in a Glamour cover story, she mentioned her readiness to bring closure to that particular phase of her life with the final season, Stranger Things 5. However, she has been accused of stealing her co-stars’ thunder.
Having both acted in and served as an executive producer for the Netflix adaptations of the Enola Holmes novels, Brown also co-authored a recently published young adult novel. Additionally, the former child star opened up about the unjust criticisms she faced at the age of 13 when the series premiered.

Millie Bobby Brown expressed how, as a young person, she and her peers naturally talk over each other, yet she felt criticized for this behavior, leading to feelings of being penalized for overtalking and being too loud. This critique, received at the tender age of 13, deeply affected her, causing her to contemplate withdrawing from speaking altogether, fearing the label of the “loud person.”
Bobbie Brown told Glamour:
“We’re kids — we talk over each other I was just penalized for overtalking and oversharing and being too loud. It’s hard to hear that at 13. You’re like, ‘I don’t want to ever talk again. I don’t want to be the loud person.'”
In response, Brown altered her approach to interacting with the press. During interviews, Brown grappled with the weight of the critical comments, prompting her to adopt a more reticent approach and only speak when directly addressed, despite her desire to contribute. She explained feeling that it wasn’t her place to speak up during those moments.

Recently, Millie Bobby Brown revealed her engagement to Jake Bongiovi, prompting an outpouring of joy and support from her fans. However, she has chosen to keep the details of the proposal private, stating her intention to keep that part of her life away from the public eye.
She told Heart,
“Everything in my life is publicized and there are few things that I’m able to keep close to my chest. I love to show my love toward him. But that moment specifically, it was so big in my whole life that I was just like I want to keep that one. I get asked this question and I go back and forth if I ever want to tell the story. And I feel like for my mental health, I think being able to give myself that grace on not sharing everything with everyone has always been important to me. Everyone deserves privacy. It’s one of the basic human rights just to say, ‘I am not comfortable with that’ and being able to say no.”
Brown is evidently setting boundaries about the extent to which she shares her personal life with her fans. Considering significant milestones like her engagement, she aims to preserve the significance of the moment by keeping the details private, ensuring it remains a cherished personal memory.
