As per Deadline, Matthew Orton (known for his work on Disney+’s Moon Knight) will work on material that will be filmed during additional photography for the upcoming Marvel movie. It is scheduled for spring-summer 2024.

Reshoots are common in Marvel’s quality control process. It ensures the film meets production standards. The duration of reshoots varies, but it is a big deal for refining the final product. Fans are really excited after hearing that the Moon Knight writer will be taking over further screenwriting.

In addition to that, some fans praised his onboarding remarking that it is good that they are not rushing to make the film, at least they are taking their time and focusing more on providing quality to the Marvelites.

There’s plenty of time for the theatrical release (Feb. 14, 2025) of Marvel Studios‘ Captain America: Brave New World. So, fans expect that Orton will definitely make it a “banger.” He previously worked as a consulting producer for Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series, which is why hopes are high this time.

This time, Anthony Mackie‘s Sam Wilson takes on the titular mantle for the sequel after Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers. Julius Onah is directing the film with Liv Tyler, Harrison Ford, Shira Haas, Tim Blake Nelson, Rosa Salazar, Danny Ramirez, and Carl Lumbly in the cast.

Meanwhile, Dalan Musson and Malcolm Spellman wrote the earlier drafts. And now Orton is repped by WME, Grandview, and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.

In an interview with The Wrap, Mackie previously said that working on the film’s set was a “great experience,” adding it was “kind of dope to sit outside the White House and smoke a cigar and have whiskey with my crew, and watch the sunrise.”

Captain America: Brave New World is set to be released on Feb. 14, 2025.
