Under the leadership of Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios has extended the narratives of the MCU over 6 mammoth phases with intertwining plot lines and overlapping characters who are integral to every story moving forward. Naturally, with a ton of expectations for each of the films and series in various phases, maintaining the X- factor and the surprise element for the audiences becomes extremely crucial.

It is well known that Kevin Feige has had an extremely stringent policy of ensuring that all the content that comes out of the MCU is spoiler free. The Marvel head is reportedly a stern taskmaster regarding any leakage of information however minor it may be. Hollywood star Owen Wilson who starred in Marvel’s Disney + series Loki, was once at the receiving end of Kevin Feige’s disapproval for revealing a seemingly trivial detail about his character.

Owen Wilson Got Reprimanded By Kevin Feige And Marvel Studios

Hollywood funnyman Owen Wilson stepped into the MCU for the Disney + series Loki starring Tom Hiddleston in which he played the character of Agent Mobius. During his time on set, the actor was privy to Kevin Feige and Marvel’s hush-hush policy of not revealing any details about their projects to avoid giving out spoilers. Wilson though, inadvertently let a seemingly minor detail about his character slip out for which he was immediately given a warning by Marvel Studios to refrain from speaking about the series. Recalling the ominous way in which he was warned, Wilson in his trademark witty style said,

“When I let it slip that I’m wearing a moustache [as] Agent Mobius, I got an ominous text saying ‘Strike One’. I don’t know who that was from.We looked into it and we think it might have been [Marvel Studios boss] Kevin Feige using a burner phone or something. But that was never confirmed”.

This isn’t the first time that MCU stars have been warned by Kevin Feige and his team. Earlier this year, Thor: Love and Thunder star Tessa Thompson was forced to issue an apology to Marvel after she leaked a photo of her character’s new outfit.

What Is Kevin Feige’s Vision For the MCU?

Kevin Feige seems to be a man with a mission as he attempts to take the MCU to the next level. According to unconfirmed reports, one of the things that the Marvel Head is looking to do is to hire experienced directors to helm marquee projects instead of scouting for newer talent in the filmmaking department. This decision was reportedly influenced by the success of director Sam Raimi in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. A report in an entertainment publication elaborated on Feige’s search for someone to helm the upcoming Fantastic Four.

“While no names have surfaced, multiple sources say while it’s a large mix of candidates, Feige and company are taking a lot of shots at some big names. One source close to the process said, ‘Kevin doesn’t want to oversee the entire shoot, and after not having to worry about that with Raimi, he is very game for the same outcome with this shoot.'”

Neither Kevin Feige not his team at Marvel Studios have confirmed any of these speculations yet but this is hardly surprising as the Marvel boss is known to keep his cards close to his chest before divulging any information.
