It’s not easy working in an action movie and Alexander learned this the hard way. She got a serious injury while filming Thor: The Dark World (2013) that could’ve ended her career. A few years later, she once again got injured while filming the American crime drama TV series, Blindspot, but once again recovered and returned to acting.

In 2012, actress Jaimie Alexander revealed in a tweet that she got injured while filming Thor: The Dark World (2013). The actress slipped off a metal staircase during a rainy morning on the sets, slipping a disc in her thoracic spine and chip 11 of her vertebrae, as well as dislocating her left shoulder and tearing a rhomboid on her right side. In an interview with MTV News, the actress said (via Looper),

“I got in a car to go to the hospital, and I sat in the car and compressed my spine a little bit, and went paralyzed in my right leg and my right hand.”

The injury could’ve paralyzed the actress forever, putting an end to her acting career. Thankfully, after a month of physiotherapy, the actress was back on the sets.

Jaimie Alexander got injured again while filming Blindspot

While filming the American TV series Blindspot, the actress experienced many injuries, including ruptured C6 and C7 discs from being waterboarded, herniated T3, T4, T8, and T9 discs, broken nose; dislocated right shoulder, broken right index finger, broken left foot, broken left two toes three times; broken right foot, broken right two toes, dislocated jaw, and other injuries that she was not allowed to disclose. In March 2018, Alexander underwent surgery after her appendix ruptured.

Despite all these scary injuries, the actress went on to star in various blockbuster hits. With her work in the MCU, Alxednader has established herself as a talented successful star in the entertainment industry.
