The Emotional Impact of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train

Emotions are a very important aspect of any anime or manga series. However, Demon Slayer took it to another level with the movie, and the worldwide recognition is proof of that. The series introduced emotional twists one after the other. From Rengoku’s mother feeling proud of her son to Tanjiro getting a reunion with his family, the movie made fans cry at every turn.

However, the most emotional scene in the movie is definitely the death of Rengoku. Rengoku was an important character in the story, and killing off such a major character obviously carries with it an element of feeling for the characters in the movie and for the fans. Rengoku’s death was accompanied by a lot of these feelings.

The appearance of Rengoku’s mother, Tanjiro calling Akasa a coward, Inosuke crying uncontrollably, and Rengoku accepting Tanjiro’s endeavor of turning his sister back into a human. All these emotions were bundled together in the last moment, making the movie probably the best part of the entire Demon Slayer franchise.
