And this look led Lawrence to repeatedly suffer malfunction in front of the Titanic star.

Directed by Adam McKay and starring an ensemble cast of Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennnifer Lawrence, Meryl Strep, and Cate Blanchett, Don’t Look Up follows two astronomers as they warn everyone about an approaching comet. Lawrence, who plays an astronomy student, Kate Dibiasky, went through a complete transformation for her character.

She has shared that she met a female astronomer to prepare for her role. “That helped shape Kate’s personality, how she dresses, how she carries herself,” she said. The X-Men star also tried learning more about astronomy, but she wasn’t able to learn everything about it.

To make her character more fierce, she decided to add on some accessories, including a nose ring, which later became one of the biggest issues during the filming. “The nose rings, one just kind of hangs in, one is a magnet,” The Hunger Games star explained.

She further revealed that she inhaled the magnet part on several occasions. And she had to split it out in front of her co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio. “Many many times I accidentally inhaled said magnet and had to spit it out in front of Leonardo DiCaprio,” the Mother actress recalled while talking to Vanity Fair.

Jennifer Lawrence Gets Nervous Working With Method Actors

Jennifer Lawrence has worked with some of the most renowned actors in Hollywood, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale. However, during her appearance on Hot Ones, the actress claimed that she feels uncomfortable approaching method actors for a conversation.

“I would be nervous to work with somebody who is Method,” she said before adding, “I would have no idea how to talk to them. Do I have to be in character?” However, she shared that she slowly got comfortable with her American Hustlers co-star Christian Bale, as she saw him going in and out of his character in seconds.

“I noticed when the camera started rolling and the crew started preparing, like 10 seconds to action, he would start getting ready,” she said. Lawrence also shared that she learned from him and also tried to follow the same practice.
