But the above-mentioned humorous fan video imagines Smith and Rock having a buddy-buddy exchange about their “natural instincts”.

Did Will Smith & Chris Rock Really Make Up? This Fanmade Video Makes It Seem So

Oh, it’s been two years but we still can’t get over talking about that indelible Oscars moment on March 27, 2022, when Will Smith delivered an unscripted smackdown to Chris Rock.

Fast forward to today, and a fan has whipped up a hysterically entertaining fan-made video of these two celebrities engaging in what can only be described as a comedic tête-à-tête. The video portrays Smith and Rock sitting at a round table, locked in a gaze as intense as a contest between cats.

Smith’s wide-eyed, innocent grin is a sight to behold, suggesting he’s about to drop some philosophical nuggets. And yes, he did; he started off with a profound yet laugh-inducing monologue:

Look, we all have our natural instincts. If a left hook is coming, some people want to duck, and some naturally want to put their gloves up. That’s my natural reaction. It’s the complex simplicity of greatness.

Rock, ever the quick-witted counterpoint, interrupted with:

And a lot of it’s timing, right? Timing is like an athletic thing, but your timing is probably closest to your dad or one of your uncles, you know.

Smith, clearly irked but still trying to maintain his composure, retorted:

What you said kinda lit a fire under me. It’s nonsense. It almost makes me mad, you know?

Rock probed further, asking, “And you have no control over it?” Smith responded with a flourish, “Absolutely not. That’s just pure rage.”

The conversation took an intriguing turn when Rock inquired, “So, do you not like being in show business?” Smith, with a mix of frustration and resignation, replied:

I hate it. I hate being the most famous man on the planet. People want to see every little twinge of your eye or every little purse of your lip. Everything has to be big.

Rock was unfazed by Smith’s response. The latter’s final words were a mix of philosophical and practical:

Well, you do what you need to do. Look, the definition of who I am is very clear to me, and it also redefines who I want to be.

So there you have it. Thanks to a healthy dose of digital creativity, what started as an Oscar-night slap has morphed into a hilariously insightful exchange.

Will’s defenders are always reminding people that, with respect to ‘The Slap,’ Will apologized in no uncertain terms, but more importantly, Will is selling tickets and putting butts in seats at a time when the whole business is struggling.

But what’s throwing a wrench in his plans? The source further explained:

Well, there are still people in the Academy who think Will should have been arrested for what he did.

Smith, who was banned for 10 years from the Oscars due to his actions in 2022, took full responsibility for his actions. “Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk,” he said in a heartfelt statement (via YouTube).

We’re crossing our fingers that Will Smith will soon find himself back in the Oscars’ spotlight, turning a new page and getting back into the Academy’s good books!
