Though the two had an amicable breakup, the actress’s feelings have changed a lot since then. She has recently revealed that the dynamic of her relationship with West was a lot darker than she thought, realizing this months after they parted ways.
Julia Fox Thought That She Understood Kanye West
When Julia Fox and Kanye West initially went their separate ways, the actress had very positive sentiments towards this. This, however, is no longer the case. According to The Los Angeles Times, she talked about what she thought their relationship was like initially, before realizing the truth of the situation that the two had found themselves in.
“I really understood him on a visceral level,” she recalls. Initially, Fox thought it “could be something real.”
The actress revealed she understood West in a very deep, emotional sense. She elaborated, stating that she, at the time, thought of them to be seriously involved with each other, thinking their relationship would potentially lead to something real, in her understanding. This, however, did not seem to be the case, as she realized later on.
Julia Fox Realized How Wrong She Was
Julia Fox revealed that she very soon realized the true intentions that Kanye West had for her and their relationship and it had everything to do with his recent split with Kim Kardashian, who he had been married to for seven years. The actress, who was the rapper’s first partner after his divorce, revealed to The Los Angeles Times that when she got together with West, she thought that she was helping him get out of a situation, that would soon end and result in both him and Kardashian going their separate ways.
“I thought ultimately I’d be helping a precarious situation, but I learned very quickly that I was being weaponized,” she explains. “I just felt like his little puppet.”
However, she soon realized that she was being used by the rapper. She elaborated on this, stating that she felt like a weapon that West could use when he wanted, adding that she felt like he was using her like a puppet, making are do whatever he wanted for his own gain.
