It was actress Jameela Jamil who was responsible for bringing Megan Thee Stallion onto the screen for a brief cameo in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Stallion played herself in the series and even shared some dance moves with lead actress Tatiana Maslany. While the executive producers of the show believed Stallion’s scene to be one of the “most important” ones in the MCU, it may turn out to be the franchise’s biggest regret.

Stallion’s former cameraman Emilio Garcia filed a lawsuit against the Savage singer alleging that she trapped him inside a moving SVU while she had s*x with a woman (via NBC News). Disney and Marvel may have to denounce Stallion in the same manner as Jonathan Majors after the lawsuit.

Megan Thee Stallion was accused of creating an abusive and hostile work environment for one of her employees. This alleged side of the singer is completely different from the one portrayed by some of the cast & crew of the MCU series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Stallion made an appearance in the third episode of the show, titled The People vs. Emil Blonsky.

Stallion’s Marvel debut was made possible by Jameela Jamil, who played the villain Titania in the series. Jamil and Stallion earlier worked together on the HBO series, Legendary. When the MCU wanted to bring in somebody famous for the third episode, it was Jamil who suggested the HISS singer to the She-Hulk crew. The decision was immediate as Jessica Gao, the head writer, shared with THR:

“The moment [Jamil] brought her up we said, ‘OK, that’s it, we’re done, there’s nobody else. If she’s willing to do it, we’ll do whatever it takes to make it happen.’”

Jamil got to know Stallion during the filming of Legendary and learned about her affinity to Marvel. She believed that the singer would be a great fit for the She-Hulk role. When Stallion landed the role, Jamil was proud of her performance and shared that she also brought out the best moves from Tatiana Maslany. Jamil shared with THR:

“I was preparing to come and do this when I was filming Legendary season two, and I just asked her and she turned out to be a huge Marvel fan. I just had a feeling she’d be a great actor because she’s good at everything, and she absolutely smashed it. I could not have been prouder or more in awe of her, and she brings out something in Tatiana that no one has ever seen before — Tatiana has moves. It’s ridiculous.”

Jamil even went on to share that the Sweetest Pie singer’s scene was her favorite in the series. She even shared that she had been dying to tell someone about her appearance since it was kept a big secret at Marvel.

Emilio Garcia’s lawsuit names Megan Pete (Stallion’s real name), Roc Nation, and other associated companies as defendants. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, primarily seeks compensation for violations of several labor codes. The cameraman claimed in the lawsuit that he was misclassified as an independent contractor and was denied protections under California law, including insurance for health care and overtime pay (via NBC News).

However, the lawsuit also raises serious allegations against Garcia’s employer Stallion who allegedly created an abusive and hostile work environment. One disturbing incident in the lawsuit mentions that Stallion allegedly engaged in s*x with a woman right beside him in a moving SVU in Ibiza, Spain.

The incident occurred in June 2022 according to the lawsuit and left the cameraman “embarrassed, mortified, and offended throughout the whole ordeal.” He told NBC News:

“I felt uncomfortable. I was kind of frozen, and I was shocked. At kind of just be the overall audacity to do this right, right beside me.”

Garcia shared that Stallion allegedly ordered him not to discuss this incident with anyone. He also claimed that she started abusing and fat-shaming him during the same trip.

Stallion’s lawyers refuted the harassment claims alleging that it was an employment claim for money. They also shared that no s*xual harassment charges were filed and claimed that the accusations were an attempt to embarrass the singer. Garcia revealed to NBC News that he is seeking a minimum of six-figure compensation.
