Her character was a valuable one in the series, and she grew into one of the best characters in Game of Thrones. Even though the actress was prominent in the series, once, she had a weird encounter with a fan who wasn’t a fan of her character in GOT.

The fan praised Maisie Williams for her portrayal of Arya Stark, whereas when it came to Tuner, he directly said to her that Sansa Stark was his least favorite in Game of Thrones.

Once, a GOT fan approached Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams while they were hanging out in public. Turner and Williams became friends just after first meeting at the auditions. So, that’s when this fan said to Williams, “You’re my favorite,” and then said to Turner, “You’re my least favorite.”

Of course, that was totally rude. But this was expected for Tuner as she said that she received these kinds of surprising reactions just from the very start of the show.

The then-17-year-old Turner remarked that “at first it kind of came as a shock” to her “because people didn’t like Sansa; she isn’t a fan favorite.” She added (reported by Entertainment Weekly):

“[Sansa’s] the least favorite in the books so I guess I’m doing my job if I’m the least favorite in the show. Now I don’t really read [online comments] and I’m pretty happy with reactions to Sansa because she’s a kick-ass character.”

It’s understandable that it was all (the hate and negative comments) new to her at first, but now Turner is happy because she knows that Sansa is a “kick a*s” character after all.

Sansa is one of the characters who survived to the very end of the series. Even though it wasn’t expected, she became the queen of the independent North.

During the show, Sansa majorly transformed from a vulnerable kid into one of the most influential people in Westeros. Although, it’s a matter of personal preference who loves her character or who doesn’t because she won the hearts of critics and became a true fan favorite, too.

Different people can have different opinions about the same character. Sansa Stark is a complex character who has made many mistakes, but she has also grown and learned a lot throughout the show.
