In a candid confession on The Graham Norton Show, the Hollywood star Margot Robbie revealed that she is an avid Harry Potter nerd. As the talk show host revealed a picture from her 13th birthday featuring Robbie in glasses with a hardcover copy of a Harry Potter novel, she revealed something almost every fan could relate to.
She shared that is how she celebrated her birthday. “Do you know what’s completely pathetic about this…first it’s my birthday. That’s how I chose to spend my birthday,” she said. However, when it came to her glasses in the picture, the actress lied to get them as she wanted to resemble Harry Potter’s iconic spectacles.
“I’m wearing glasses even though I don’t need glasses. I lied to the optometrist because I wanted to have glasses like Harry Potter,” she revealed during the interview. And the influence of the franchise in Robbie’s life doesn’t stop there, as she revealed that she actually married a Harry Potter actor.
Margot Robbie’s Husband Was in Harry Potter Film Series
Margot Robbie continued expressing her fascination with Harry Potter books and movies, and she further revealed that her husband was in the film series starring Daniel Radcliffe. “Do you know another fun fact…My husband is in the Harry Potter movies,” she said.
The Oscar-nominated actress gushed about her husband, Tom Ackerley, being an extra in the franchise. “When he was a little kid, he’s like one of the Slytherin extras,” she said, explaining that when Draco pushes some kids out of the way to take a look at Buckbeak in the third movie, it was her husband who played that kid.
