Brian Cox is one of the best actors in all of Hollywood right now, but it is hard to argue that his role as Logan Roy in HBO’s Succession is what truly sets him apart from so many of his peers over the past few years. Succession might be over, but it appears Cox is more than willing to join a Succession movie in the future.
Brian Cox is an outspoken actor, who isn’t afraid of speaking his mind on a topic at all. In fact, he also fully embraces being a villain and welcomes all sorts of negative roles, which makes his role in Succession that much better.

Brian Cox Is More Than Open to Doing A Succession Film
Succession concluded its run last year after four seasons, but Brian Cox, who portrayed patriarch Logan Roy on the HBO series, has left the door open for a possible Succession movie. Speaking at the BAFTA Tea Party at the Maybourne Hotel in Beverly Hills, Cox expressed his openness to the idea, stating:
“We’ll see. If it’s good enough and [series creator] Jesse Armstrong wants to do it, I might do it.”
During the same interview, Cox made it clear he isn’t enthusiastic about Kieran Culkin’s idea of a spinoff with Nicholas Braun’s Cousin Greg. Cox believes Braun is focused on exciting new projects and wouldn’t be interested in it.
“I don’t think Nick Braun would want to do it either,” Cox said. “He’s going onto other things, which are really exciting for him.”
We will have to wait and see whether Succession will ever end up getting a movie. It is also a wonder how Brian Cox would be in the movie in the first place, considering what happened in the final season. Nonetheless, fans are eagerly waiting for a potential movie to take place. In the meantime, fans can check out Sucession on the streaming service Max.
Brian Cox Addressed Why British Actors Are Usually Portrayed As Villains In Hollywood
American films frequently cast British actors in villainous roles, a trend the actor discussed with GQ Magazine. He expressed controversial views, suggesting that America has a tendency to distrust and despise British people, finding it ironic given the country’s perceived naivety and current challenges.

“They love all that. It’s funny because America is such a naive country in many ways. A f*cked country in other ways, these days. But one of the reasons for my success when I made my foray into movies was because they don’t trust the [British], they see them as suspicious.”
The seasoned actor has fulfilled a longtime aspiration by taking on the role of a Bond villain, albeit for a reality TV show. Titled 007: Road to a Millionaire, the show features contestants engaging in spy-themed challenges to vie for a million-dollar prize. Scheduled for release on November 10, 2023, the project will be available on Prime Video worldwide.
