Hollywood security has long been a fixture, often seen with A-list celebrities on red carpets, out in the airport, and even onscreen. It is therefore not surprising that renowned actor, George Clooney has security measures in place to protect his and his family’s privacy.
But what is more peculiar is that Amal Clooney’s significant work as a barrister—not the ER actor’s fame or wealth—is what is posing the greatest safety risks for his family. In a previous conversation about the difficulties of fame, the 62-year-old actor admitted he misses some of life’s “normal” activities”, like being able to take a family walk in Central Park.
Amal Clooney has always had the support of her actor husband, especially when it comes to her work as a global human rights attorney.
This has occasionally resulted in her husband publicly endorsing her work and bringing attention to the crucial work she does. The Ticket to Paradise actor’s remarks regarding his wife’s impending court appearance in her historic lawsuit against ISIS serves as one example of this.
George Clooney Revealed ‘Real Security Issues’ Every day
At one point, George Clooney may have been among Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors, but thanks to his wife, the Lebanese-British barrister, Amal Clooney, he is now a true family man.
The A-list actor and his attorney wife are parents to twins. Like any other father, the 62-year-old actor also worries about his children’s safety because of his and his wife’s high-profile careers.
He once discussed Amal Clooney‘s caseload on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast while promoting his Hulu series, Catch-22. The severity of his wife’s high-profile case was revealed to him in this remark.
Speaking on the THR podcast Awards Chatter, Clooney said.
“Everything changes when you have two kids on how you have to protect them,” “My wife is taking the first case against ISIS to court, so we have plenty of issues — real, proper security issues — that we have to deal with on a fairly daily basis. We don’t really want our kids to be targets, so we have to pay attention to that. But, you know, we also live our lives. We don’t hide in corners.”
Although he withheld information about his wife’s case, his worries about the serious security concerns that come with a case of this magnitude are actually terrifying.
How Did His Fame Impact His Regular Family Life?
George Clooney has spent more than 40 years working in film and television and has grown largely numb to the perks of being a famous person. He has plenty of experience dealing with cameras in his face and adoring fans. But protecting his kids from the rigors of his busy life in the spotlight is a completely different matter.
The 62-year-old acclaimed actor has once discussed how his fame has interfered with his ability to lead a relatively normal life with his wife and children. He explained:
“It’s the kind of thing where going to a ballgame and sitting out with the gang isn’t really possible — it’s distracting for everybody else, and not necessarily fun for me. I miss some of that. My wife and I wanted to walk our kids in Central Park, and that’s just not possible.
From Dusk Till Dawn actor further added:
“We tried, but we walk out the door and everybody surrounds them. And there’s a bounty on my kids’ head for a photo, so that’s something that we are very conscious of.”
Well, for the unheard, the parents of twins exchanged vows in a private ceremony at the lavish Aman Canal Grande resort in Venice, Italy—a place that is obviously dear to both of them.
Nevertheless, George Clooney has once explained that he and his wife continue to live their lives to the fullest despite potential security risks and requirements.
