In an interview with This is Money, he got candid about his salary at Brangelina’s as he shared,

“I ended up as a bodyguard to celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Russell Crowe, and Michael Caine. I earned really good money – three times as much as I was earning in the military. I think it was more than £10,000 a month.”

His relationship with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s family was quite good as he even claimed in The Sun interview about being a father figure to their six children. Being their head of security, he was trusted by the ex-pair a lot as he was among the few staff who could be around their children.

Given that he was trusted by the former couple, he got very close to the family who even stated that he was “living with them all the time.” He even shared that their bonding was so special that the duo even allowed him to take their kids anywhere on his own.

“I could take the kids anywhere I wanted to on my own. No one else was allowed to do that.”

While the perks were great about his bodyguard job, it was still a difficult job that demanded him to stay away from his own kids. The former SAS officer also has six kids at his home who couldn’t get to spend their time with their father. Given the long hours that he had to dedicate to that job without his family was hard for him.

“I never had a private life. I was exhausted. I lost direction in my own family life.”

He opened up that he only spent six weeks with his own kids while working with the couple for 17 months. He eventually decided to let go of his lucrative job which is quite understandable.
