Brad Pitt Believed Donald Glover With the Mr. & Mrs. Smith Reboot

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Donald Glover shared that he had not seen the 2005 film until recently after finishing the production for the Amazon Prime series. “No, I didn’t see it. I hadn’t at the time,” he shared before adding, “I’ve seen it, obviously, by now. It’d be scary if I hadn’t.”

The Atlanta star, who also serves as a creator and executive producer of the show, shared that he talked to Brad Pitt to get some insight into the original film. However, the Bullet Train star “charmed his way out” without offering any concrete advice.

“He didn’t give me any real pointers. He kind of Brad Pitt-ed his way out of it,” Glover shared. Glover also recalled a conversation with the Oscar-winning actor where Pitt assured him of success in the adaptation. “He was like, ‘Yeah, you know, you’ll do great,'” the actor recalled during the conversation. And judging by the fans’ response, Glover has successfully navigated the adaptation.
