Hollywood talk shows are entertaining games where celebrities share amusing anecdotes from their personal and professional lives. The situation, however, escalates when the celebrities start confessing their crushes.
The public has heard it all, from Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves confessing their love for each other to Nicole Kidman expressing her admiration for Jimmy Fallon. One of the celebrated actors, Jennifer Lawrence, also admitted she had feelings for Seth Meyers, the host of the NBC late-night talk show Late Night with Seth Meyers, at one point.
Actresses apparently develop crushes on other Late Night talk show hosts besides Meyers as well. Yes, actress Halle Berry once admitted to having a crush on Conan O’Brien, who hosted Late Night with Conan O’Brien from 1993 to 2009, but her way of revealing it was way funnier.
Halle Berry Admitted Her Admiration For Conan O’Brien
We often hear stories about celebrity flings and unexpected relationships in Hollywood. But long before Jennifer Lawrence got candid about her crush on Seth Meyers, a different famous person revealed her admiration for yet another hilarious talk show host. Halle Berry, known for her beauty, talent, and contagious sense of humor, had her audience in stitches with her hilarious confession of admiration for Conan O’Brien, the host of Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
In one of the earlier episodes of Late Night with Conan O’Brien, the audience burst into laughter at Berry’s endearing revelation. It all began when Conan O’Brien inquired about her current boyfriend and whether or not she was single in an apparently innocent way. The actress took a moment to think before jokingly confessing, all the while displaying her endearing charm and quick wit:
“The list goes on and on, but what they really don’t know is that I really want you, Conan.”
She continued by describing what drew her affection for the host:
“When I saw you with that green mustache, it just did it for me.”
It was indeed funny. Now let’s remember Lawrence’s appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, where she brought an embarrassing tale with her.
Jennifer Lawrence Admitted To Seth Meyers That She Almost Asked Him Out
There is nothing new about shocking revelations on talk shows. Many times, in some of the most important episodes, a number of previously untold stories are made public.
The fans were shocked when Jennifer Lawrence admitted that she once harbored a secret crush on the talk show host during one of the earlier episodes of Late Night with Seth Meyers. The 33-year-old actress joked about how her wardrobe assistant saved her from asking the NBC host out on a date. It appears that the actress was unaware that Meyers was engaged at the time.
The actress revealed in the episode that she once had a significant crush on Meyers and almost had plans to ask him out. She said on Late Night with Seth Meyers :
“I had a really big crush on you. I had created the romance in my head, because I’m delusional. I had this whole plan. I was going to ask you out.”
But Lawrence’s wardrobe assistant came to her rescue. According to the Dark Phoenix actress, the wardrobe assistant told her about Meyers’ engagement to prevent worsening of her embarrassment:
“And so I m getting a costume fit, and I had this whole plan I was gonna ask you out. Thank God, I talked to a wardrobe lady about it and I was like I think I’m gonna ask him out, I’m gonna give him my number and she was like Honey he’s engaged. I was like cool, good talk.”
The Hunger Games star’s expression conveyed that the experience was not pleasant in any way. She promised herself she would never go after a man owned by another woman. The mother of one continued:
“Oh my god, I’m like a predator.”
Although Lawrence has had similar stories in the past, she is currently enjoying a happy marriage to her art gallery director husband, Cooke Maroney. On the work front, she was last seen in the s*x comedy film No Hard Feelings, directed by Gene Stupnitsky.
No Hard Feelings is available to rent on Apple TV.
