Actor Drake Bell’s ex-girlfriend Melissa Lingafelt posted a TikTok video a few years back, in which she accused Bell of physically and verbally abusing her during the time of their relationship. She also brought allegations from other women that he preyed on and s*xually harassed underage girls.
Lingafelt, a 34-year-old singer and actress posted a TikTok video in 2020, in which she detailed the abuse she allegedly suffered at the hands of the Drake & Josh actor during their 2-year relationship, starting in 2006. She also explained that she and Bell started dating when she was 16 years old and was homeschooled.
What Was Melissa Lingafelt’s Accusations Against Drake Bell?
While posting threads of TikTok videos, Melissa Lingafelt, who was in a relationship with Bell when she was 16 and he was 20, shared how during her time with Bell, she was emotionally and physically abused. “I don’t even want to get into the underage girls thing,” she concluded in the since-deleted TikTok. “I mean, I will, but I’m scared.” (Via PEOPLE)
Sharing screenshots of texts from those who had seen Bell involved in abusive behaviors, Lingafelt also showed messages from other people who stated that the Nickelodeon performer had committed acts of s*xual rude behavior and assault against them. Some of them were underage at the time, per The Wrap.
“I met Drake in early 2007 when I was 16,” read one anonymous message re-posted on Lingafelt’s account. “He was dating you [Melissa Lingafelt] at the time. Didn’t stop him from f****ng my 15-year-old friend — who was a vi*gin.”
Three years back, in an exclusive interview with Daily Beast, Lingafelt said:
“What he’s being arrested for right now is a prime example of what I would witness, him having inappropriate conversations online with underage girls,” she says, claiming that she had seen him exchanging emails with “extremely young girls.”
“I saw really questionable, crazy shit on his computer. The stuff he’d be looking at was fucking insane.”
“I don’t pray that people will come forward,” she added. “I just know that they will.”
Meanwhile, Bell has denied allegations of verbal and physical abuse made by ex-girlfriend Lingafelt.

After the allegations were shared on TikTok, Drake Bell came forward and denied all the allegations against him, saying that he never abused his ex-girlfriends.
“I never abused my ex-girlfriend or did so many of the other things Melissa falsely claimed on her TikTok video,” Bell said in a statement. (Via Deadline)
“As our relationship ended—more than a decade ago—we unfortunately, both called each other terrible names, as often happens when couples are breaking up. But that is it.”
He then added, “Clearly, Melissa still felt close enough to me just last year that she was comfortable reaching out to ask me to provide her with financial support during a tough time (which I did). I do not know if today’s behavior is some kind of misguided quest for more money or attention. But I cannot and will not allow these offensive and defamatory allegations to go unchallenged and I am reviewing my legal options.”
Meanwhile, Bell alleges that he was s*xually abused, when he was 15 years old, by Brian Peck, who was a dialogue coach who worked on Nickelodeon’s All That and The Amanda Show. (Investigation Discovery) Drake starred on The Amanda Show from 1999-2002 before he had his own Nickelodeon series, Drake & Josh, which aired in 2004.
