The British Royal family’s popularity is not showing signs of waning anytime soon, and the common people’s intrigue has only grown after Kate Middleton’s alleged disappearance. The Princess of Wales has not been seen in public in weeks, thereby raising speculation and some hilarious conspiracy theories. With the rumor mills and grapevines working overtime, one member from Middleton’s maternal side has had enough.
As a member of the Royal family, Kate Middleton is expected to show up at certain events. She often does, either accompanied by William, the Prince of Wales, and their three children, or on her own. Regardless, Middleton cuts an impressive figure wherever she goes. Therefore, her alleged disappearance has raised more than a few eyebrows.
Gary Goldsmith, the Princess’s uncle, recently joined the cast of the new season of Celebrity Big Brother. Goldsmith had a lot to say about the Royal family, including the public’s interest in his niece’s whereabouts.
Even though the British media has not stirred up a storm over Kate Middleton, social media is abuzz with it. Goldsmith, Middleton’s uncle, feels that she deserves to have her privacy respected by everyone. Moreover, he added that there was a reason the family was not talking about it.
“I think they should leave her alone right now because there’s a reason why they’re [family] not talking about it and they are giving her a little bit of space. She’s the number one royal for a reason and I just beg people to give her some space,” said Goldsmith (via The Mirror).
Kensington Palace had announced that Kate Middle would be undergoing “planned abdominal surgery”. However, she has not been spotted ever since. It is especially concerning because the Royal Family has a tradition of sorts where an ailing member is often spotted leaving the hospital, which was not the case with the Princess of Wales.
When was Kate Middleton last seen?
Kate Middleton was last seen over two months ago, during Christmas. She attended the Royal family’s annual walk to the church in Sandringham alongside her children and husband, Prince William. It is a royal custom where they attend mass together.
A few weeks later, Kensington Palace made the aforementioned announcement about her surgery. They added that Kate Middleton would “remain in hospital for 10 to 14 days” before being discharged. Additionally, they also mentioned that Middleton would be out of the public eye until after Easter.
Kate Middleton’s issue has drawn a lot of attention to an important fact. All four active members of the Royal family—King Charles, Queen Camilla, William, and Kate, the Princess and Princess of Wales—are not in service at the moment.
Kate Middleton spotted for the first time since December
On Monday, March 5th, Kate Middleton was seen for the first time since December last year. She was in the car with her mother, Carole, who was driving the vehicle.
Middleton was in the passenger seat, wearing sunglasses. The mother-daughter pair were spotted near Windsor Castle, days after the rumors got out of control on social media.
