The reason, as per the rumor floating on the air at the time, was the implicit anger caused by Will Smith as he and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith attempted to ask Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez for a threesome. The rapper was in an awkward spot as he was asked about the rumor.

“Hey speaking of Love This is Love I saw a guy on the internet the other day who said he used to be your security guard who said that when you were dating JLo Will Smith and Jada tried to pick her up on a threesome and you were going to beat up Will Smith is that true?”

Diddy was in an awkward silence for a few seconds but soon made his subtle attempt to divert the conversation. “This show has gotten crazier since the last time I was here,” the rapper said. However, Kimmel was pretty insistent on sucking the truth out. “It’s all about love though that’s not true?” the host asked again. “You really heard that? No,” the Closer to God singer asked. “Yeah, I watched it on the internet,” Kimmel added. “What? I don’t know what you’re talking about Jimmy? I thought we was friends, right?” Diddy responded. Perhaps, the truth behind it will never unfold as the rapper declined to agree or reject the claim directly.

Diddy also revealed that he poured love in his latest album, from his first heartbreak to everything that came out of love in his life. Also, the singer is all up for celebrating the essence of the divine feeling as he legally changed his middle name to “Love.”

“Yes. Love, I changed my name to Sean ‘Love’ Combs. I’m serious about love y’all. I’m all in on love. I decided, I’m just going to just be love all the way. So, change my middle name to Love. So, Sean Love Combs is my legal name now on my birth certificate and my um driver’s license.”

The billionaire rapper also named his daughter, Love. “I had a baby y’all, I just had a baby,” he added. “She just turned one year old and I named her Love. Her name is Love Sean Combs. Oh yes, and I just released a new album and it’s called The Love album.” Diddy further added that he is the embodiment of Love and he wishes to keep it that way. Combs’ The Love Album: Off the Grid was nominated for Urban Contemporary Album at the 2024 Grammys.
