Although the character of Sung Jinwoo is normally calm and logical, he sometimes gets enraged and violent while fighting strong enemies or opponents during his dungeon battles. This leads to him screaming and shouting, thus indirectly affecting the voice actor. However, that is not the case for all characters.

As mentioned before, Le also portrays the role of Zenitsu Agatsuma in Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer. During an interview last year, the voice actor shared his experience working for one of the greatest anime series of all time and how it felt to voice a character like Zenitsu.

Aleks Le Shares his Experience as Zenitsu in Demon Slayer

The entire English dub voice cast of Demon Slayer was interviewed by Buzzfeed, where they were asked about their process for voicing the “emotional and expressive” scenes. Le explained:

“Since day one of getting this job, I knew what I was in for. Even before my very first session, I had spent hours practicing and figuring out Zenitsu’s voice. This may be to a lot of people’s surprise, but no matter how crazy I go with Zenitsu’s vocal performance, I walk out of the booth pretty much unscathed. Part of that is thanks to the great communication and understanding I have with the recording team over at BangZoom.”

According to the voice actor, because he has been voicing Zenitsu in Demon Slayer for so long, his emotional expression has become second nature to him. The voice actor also revealed that it was one of the first voice acting roles of his career, and he is lucky to get such a great start as it helps him understand the field better.
