It was a delightful shock for fans when Bryan Cranston went from playing the immature, fun dad, Hal, in Malcolm in the Middle to playing the ruthless Heisenberg in Breaking Bad. One of the best TV shows ever made, Breaking Bad featured Bryan Cranston as a chemistry professor turned drug seller, Walter White, and Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman, Walter’s former student and partner.

The Trumbo actor wanted to take a different route from his comedy roles when the Walter White role came his way. Outside of his Breaking Bad character, Cranston still remains the funny, lovable guy, as evident from his interviews.

Bryan Cranston Received Fan Letters For The Show, And One Was Particularly Weird

In 2013, the second half of the finale season of Bryan Cranston’s crime drama series premiered on AMC. During this time, Cranston and Aaron Paul appeared on Conan to talk about their show and other aspects with the host, Conan O’Brien. The discussion turned to the loyal fans of the show when the Asteroid City actor revealed a fan letter that can only be described as cringeworthy.

The Godzilla actor began reading the letter for the Conan audience, and their reactions ranged from hilarious laughing to cringing discomfort. The letter began with a disclaimer, which raised red flags for both the guests and the host. The letter’s introduction, as narrated by Cranston on Conan, read:

“Dear Bryan Cranston, let me preface this letter by saying, I have a Master’s Degree in Psychology and I have never been diagnosed with any psychotic disorder.”

The disclaimer made sure that the letter was not going to be a typical fan letter. As it turned out, the fan wrote a voyeuristic fantasy about the Breaking Bad actors that was so cringey it would make one want to turn inside out.

The Fan Fantasy That Made Bryan Cranston Cringe

In the letter, the fan revealed to Bryan Cranston that they binge-watched Breaking Bad in just two days after locking themselves inside their apartment. After watching the show, the fan also watched some of the actors’ interviews. The fan’s obsession with the show reached such a peak that they fantasized about having s*x with Aaron Paul with The Infiltrator actor watching. The letter stated (via Conan):

“I am writing to you because I have been holed up in my apartment for two days and nights watching all seasons of your show. I am in love with it all. After I was done with all the episodes, I watched some interviews. And what this has all amounted to, is that right now, I am fantasizing about having s*x [pause] with Aaron Paul. And for you to be there watching. I am not sure what your role would be, but I think I want you there.”

Paul, O’Brien, and his sidekick, Andy Richter, burst out laughing along with the audience. The reaction was partly due to the content of the letter and partly because of Cranston’s comedic delivery as he read the letter. There’s no denying the fact that the Argo actor possesses great comedic talent. Richter, however, thought the letter was from a male fan, which sent another round of hysterical laughter through the audience.
