Weatherly also proposed to Alba on her 20th birthday. They were engaged for about two years before announcing their split in 2003. The Good Luck Chuck star reflected on her relationship and the canceled engagement with the 55-year-old actor, in an interview with Cosmopolitan.

“It just didn’t work out. I was so young, 18 when I started dating him,” she said as she explained the significance she placed on finding love with her first s*xual partner. Jessica Alba also emphasized that she wanted to ensure that her partner was in love with her.
