Hailee Steinfeld opens up about her connection to her Marvel character

Although Hailee Steinfeld has found herself playing two Marvel superheroes, Kate Bishop and Spider-Gwen, playing the latter has been a more personal journey for the actress. Although she does an impeccable job in portraying her MCU role in Hawkeye, her performance as Gwen Stacy is second to none. The actress also opened up about feeling a connection with Gwen Stacy and explained why she loves the character of Spider-Man so much. She explained,

“Of course, I have connected and resonated with both these characters… These films are so grounded and rooted in their characters and emotions. One of the reasons that I love Spider-man so much is because he is a normal dude, and he puts on this suit and becomes superhuman. Then he takes it off, and instantly he is a normal person again, trying to navigate life as it is. But it still seems larger than life.”
