Rupert Grint has done a lot since his days as a Harry Potter star. Although the most prominent works in his filmography are of the franchise, it is not that alone which defines him. Growing up as Ron Weasley, there was a lot the actor came to experience. However, it was one habit that completely caught him off guard.
Grint had been so engulfed by the life that came with fame that he did not realize just how quickly things could transition in front of him in the blink of an eye. The actor learned this the hard way, coming to terms with the fact that fans can be rather overwhelming. In the process, he also learned the importance of saying no.
Rupert Grint Cannot Say No
In an interview with Tom Felton on BBC Three, Rupert Grint opened up about his struggles as an actor when it came to his inability to say one word. As an actor who is known for one of the most iconic roles, he was often approached by fans without hesitation. However, it was this exact reasoning that he found himself being troubled by.
“It’s the one thing I cannot do. That’s the danger, I would do anything. It’s a lot to do.”
Grint admitted that not being able to say no during situations is something he finds to be a dangerous trait. The actor talked about how things can get awkward for him because of this habit as he is willing to do basically anything due to him not being able to say no.
Rupert Grint was in a Tricky Situation
In an interview with Tom Felton via BBC Three, Rupert Grint revealed as to how bad things can get for him when he meets fans. The actor talked about how he found himself hanging out with drag queens and even went out to get bagels with them at an unusually odd time.
“It’s got me into a few tricky situations,” the actor added. “I met this drag queen, and I’d end up going back to her little flat with all those drag queen friends. I couldn’t say no. They dressed me up. We went to get bagels at like 4:00 AM. I was in full heels and a feather boa. It was really weird.”
Not only that, Grint was dressed up in heels and a feather boa because he just kept saying yes to whatever they suggested. He went to their apartment and hung out with them. Things evolved into him allowing them to dress him up.
