We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now.” The two wrote a joint statement via X

By 2019, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan‘s divorce was finalized, and the duo separated ways amicably. Ever since then they have been co-parenting their daughter and sparked romance rumors with other celebrities. Tatum seemed to move on quickly, as he sparked headlines with Jessie J, within six months of announcing their separation.

The Real Reason Behind the Couple’s Separation

Over the years, having an amicable split, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have often opened up about their divorce and expressed their own reason. Without criticizing the other person, they both have noted where they personally faced an issue in their relationship. The former couple even noted how they faced issues in parenting their daughter, in their own way.

However, while most reasons stated by the former couple, during different interviews seemed quite real, the true reason was apparently hinted at by Channing Tatum during his 2013 interview with Elle. Although back then, the couple were having a fine relationship, Tatum seemingly shared a secret that seems to have affected their romance.

I had just gotten out of a pretty long relationship, so I was in no way ready for another. I was trying to run from what I knew Jenna was — not someone I was just going to date. But one of my buddies was like, ‘What are you doing, man? She’s dope.’ That night I showed up at her hotel room with a sombrero on, and that was it.”

Confessing to running away from the thought of Jenna Dewan, Channing Tatum seems to have rushed into a relationship with the actress without giving it a proper thought. Therefore, even after years since their split, the true reason seems to be staring right at us, which appears difficult to ignore. Rushing into a relationship and forcing his love, now seems to be the worst decision ever made by Tatum, which ended up in struggles and eventually a split with Dewan, after years.
