It was Eminem’s paradigm shifting bars that compelled West to throw away what he had previously prepared and start afresh. Something reminiscent of Eminem’s collaboration with Jay-Z for the song Renegade. This incident threw two things into sharp relief: Eminem’s legendary skills and Kanye West’s dedication towards his craft.

There has hardly been as iconic a collaboration as Forever. Made for LeBron JamesMore Than A Game documentary back in 2009, the track was the creation of well-known producer Boi-1da. After much deliberation and time, it was finally included as a soundtrack to the inspiring documentary featuring perhaps the four best rappers of all time, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Drake, and the God of Rap aka Eminem.

The blockbuster song debuted on Billboard Hot 100 at No. 8, quickly becoming one of the most riveting singles of all time (via Revolt TV). However, the making of this extraordinary track was more difficult than one could have anticipated all because of the presence of the Venom hitmaker.

Known for being fearless and unhinged, Kanye West had to rethink his life and began doubting his talents the moment he heard Eminem’s extraordinary verses for the song. The multiple Grammy award winner rapper hence stated (via Daily Rap Facts),

“When I heard Eminem’s verse on the Drake sh*t, I went back and rewrote my sh*t for two days, I canceled appointments to rewrite! I f**kin’ care.”

Not only did West, now known as just Ye, had to change his lines but even Lil Wayne is said to have changed his lyrics after hearing the Rap God hitmaker.

Forever remains the only collaboration between the four iconic rappers of today’s age. Presenting an incredible posse cuts from four incredible and distinct rappers, the world hasn’t seen such a collaboration ever since. While all four of the rappers were praised, Eminem clearly stood out.

Thanks to his incredible rapping skills, Eminem is known for stealing thunder no matter where he is and so he did the same when he collaborated with his fellow industry giants. However, being the humble genius he is, he quickly went on to praise his collaborators when asked who rapped the best (via Complex),

“I don’t know, I like everybody’s verses—but I like Drake’s verse a lot. I wouldn’t say I had the best verse; everybody approached the beat different. Kanye was crazy, too, and Wayne. I just saw the beat differently than anybody else did; for some reason, I felt like the beat was a double-time beat, so I rapped faster.”

Even after decades of being in the industry, his statements only prove Eminem remains as humble as ever. As for Kanye West, we hope the two could reunite for another chart-topping single.
