In an interview with The Sun, Eva Green recalled that the romantic film, The Dreamers was surely a challenging project for her. However, filming raunchy scenes for the first time was what she was worried about as she shared,

“The s-x scenes were quite full on and frank in The Dreamers. I had a scene in which my own character has to lose her v-rginity. I had to remember how I felt when I first had s-x. I am so reserved in real life, but I surprised myself completely.”

She admitted that alcohol eventually broke the ice between her and co-star, Louis Garrel, with whom she had to film s-x scenes.

Green continued,

“I was asked if I wanted some alcohol before some of the scenes, and admit that I did have some whisky. There was a breaking of the ice before the s-x scene.”

While the drink did help in becoming an icebreaker between the duo, it still didn’t help in making them comfortable about baring it all on camera.

The Womb actress recalled that her co-star eventually asked her to flash him with the actor doing the same in return to ease each other. This would lead them to be more comfortable to film on-camera and the trick actually worked.

In the same interview, she mentioned,

“The actor Louis Garrel came into my trailer and said: ‘I will show you my d–k if you show me your br–sts.’ So I did, and he did. He said to me: ‘They look great.’ So when it came to the s-x scenes, it made it a little easier.”

Meanwhile, she told Vulture that her first explicit scene referring to the kitchen scene was “so scary and surreal.”

She mentioned,

“It was the first time I was doing something onscreen. I was worried about not being good as an actor. I think it’s beyond the n-dity. I was, and am still, extremely shy. And there’s this thing where you go beyond your shyness to do these kind of daring s-x scenes or whatever.”

Eventually, her efforts were widely praised by both critics and audiences. She played the role of Isabelle, a young and free-spirited French student who becomes entangled in a complex and passionate love triangle.
