While Ben Affleck played the superhero Daredevil, Jennifer Garner essayed the role of assassin Elektra. Daredevil had many fight scenes between the two, which had them training for months to perfect the shots. But when it comes to who had a more easy experience, Garner really won it as she had already spent a year training for Alias. Even though Garner was more experienced, Affleck quickly caught up much to her annoyance.

“I had a year of ALIAS under my belt as boot camp where I fought every couple of days and so I came in, probably, more confident than Ben. But the annoying thing was how quickly he caught up. I, I was a little bit cocky after the first couple of days and then all of a sudden he was kind of crushing me and that, that was a problem for me. But, yeah, I, I trained, you know, I was a ballet dancer growing up and then I trained for ALIAS and, and fought constantly all year.”

Despite the action scenes and nightmare-ish training, Daredevil performed poorly on the big screen.

Daredevil might have been a failure but it led the two co-stars Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck to start dating. As their relationship progressed, the two would often spend time visiting the set and cheering for each other. Jennifer Garner, known for her liking for the action genre, quickly jumped on track in the action-filled thriller, The Kingdom. The movie had Garner and her co-stars fighting in real life to make it as realistic as possible. To cheer for his then-wife, Affleckl visited the shoot one day.

“I wish he felt that way about real life. He was visiting the set the day that I shot this fight scene and I thought it would have made him a little bit nervous to see him chucking me against the wall harder and harder with every take but he was a little too calm about it,” Garner recalled. “Between us, I thought he could have been a little bit more, ‘My wife! You’d better be careful with her.’ He was just like, ‘Go! Go for it, babe! Harder!’”

As hilarious as it may be, seemed like Jennifer Garner had much fun on the sets and so did Ben Affleck watching his wife engage in real scrabble.
