They were seen together all the time and it seems Cruise showed his immense love for Holmes in the most beautiful way.

As reported by CBS News, Cruise took extra steps to ensure the safety of Holmes during her pregnancy. During the promotions of Mission Impossible III, he kept two pilots ready so that he could fly home whenever Holmes went into labor. He made the baby the main priority of his film and was quoted saying,

“First the baby, then the film. Then, in summer, we want to get married. I won’t let this woman get away.”

They got married in 2006 and their daughter Suri was born the same year. By 2012, their marriage fell apart and they divorced that year. Cruise has since remained single and more dedicated to his work and career rather than finding another woman in his life.

Simon Pegg had worked extensively with Tom Cruise in the Mission Impossible films. He has watched Cruise give his life on the line for these films and has developed a great respect for the actor. However, Pegg believes that Cruise still has a third act that has yet to show to audiences, which will remind them what a a great actor he is. Pegg told The Independent,

“I don’t know,” he said. “I love working with Tom, and he’s really good fun to work with but I get the feeling that when Tom goes off and does other things, it’ll be a completely different thing. “He has a whole other age to come in his career.

He’s a very good actor, a very, very good actor — as we’ve seen in Magnolia and Jerry Maguire… I think when he finally stops jumping off shit, he’ll have a third act. And yes, it’d be nice to be a part of that.”

For now, Cruise is hard at work filming the eighth installment of the franchise. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on May 23, 2025.
