Rumors are that Sony Pictures is pushing for a significant crossover between the MCU and Sony’s Spider-Man Universe in Spider-Man 4. Though Spider-Man 4 is in early development now, this might excite many Peter Parker fans.
However, Tom Hardy has been advocating making a crossover movie with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man happen someday. For now, Hardy and Holland are playing their respective Marvel characters in separate continuities.
Tom Hardy Revealed He “would do anything” to Make a Spider-Man and Venom Crossover Happen
Speaking to Esquire, the Venom: Let There Be Carnage star said:
“Should both sides be willing, and it be beneficial to both sides, I don’t see why it couldn’t be. I hope and strongly, with both hands, push, eagerly, towards that potential, and would do anything to make that happen, within what’s right in business.”
“But it would be foolish not to head towards the Olympic Games if you were running 100 metres, so yeah! I want to play on that field.”
Seemed like, Hardy was wholeheartedly excited about the opportunity to potentially appear in the MCU alongside Spider-Man.
The Rumored Potential Merger Between the Separate Universes
Established scooper DanielRPK reported that Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man 4 will feature more connections to Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.
Though till now no official confirmations from Marvel Studios or Sony have arrived, it’s a possibility that there might be an intention to set up a future amalgamation between the two separate universes that will lead to more Sony characters appearing in Marvel Studios’ movies.
