We all have had those moments when someone does something very annoying in a theatre and we just feel like giving them an earful. Even celebrities are not immune to this feeling and might get pissed off at someone who is just being too irritating in the theatres. Emily Blunt once opened up about the time she also encountered someone a bit too annoying and how she was planning to deal with such type of a person.
Emily Blunt talks about how she was annoyed by a man in theatre
Emily Blunt once appeared in an interview on the late-night talk show, Conan and talked about the Israeli martial art that she has learned which is known as Krav Maga. The English actress described this martial art as “very lethal” in which they can “use any part of their body to annihilate somebody.” Blunt added that is a very aggressive form. The actress further talked about an incident where she imagined how she would take out a man if she was attacked. She said,
“When I was shooting the film, I went to see a movie one night and there was a guy next to me and we all know it when people are on their phones and texting during a movie, the light on their phones is distracting. So, he was texting and I gently just said, ‘Would you mind not doing that while watching the movie?’ He gave me a look like he could clock me and I was there just thinking in my head ‘What would I do if this guy attacked me?’ It was just so lame me sitting there planning my make-believe attack which just never happened.”

After hearing the story of how she was annoyed at the guy, Conan O’Brien just followed up with Emily Blunt with how would she attack if she really was threatened by the guy. Blunt instantly replied,
“I would probably just go for the b*lls, right? It’s just the quickest way to drop someone.”
Conan further asked if it is something they teach in the Krav Maga martial arts or if is it just instinct. The actress did reveal yes it indeed is something that is taught to them. She said,
“They do teach you how to knee someone in the b*lls repeatedly but it’s weird. I was talking to John[Krasinski] about this. I was saying, ‘Is it unbelievably painful for a guy when you get kneed or punched in the b*lls or anything like that?’ and he was like ‘It’s unbelievable. You can’t compare it getting punched in the b**b like it doesn’t compare.'”

Well, it is a good thing that the guy didn’t try to intimidate Emily Blunt in the theatre or he would have learned the effectiveness of Krav Maga definitely not in a way that he would have liked.
