Scarlett Johansson Reveals What She Likes in a Husband

After divorcing Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds and before marrying into SNL royalty, Scarlett Johansson was having quite a complex second marriage with French journalist, Romain Dauriac. Having been married for 3 years from 2014 to 2017, Dauriac was an outsider new to the Hollywood scene who by proxy had become an instant internet obsession because of his relationship with Johansson despite his relative anonymity. But even beyond the paparazzi snapshots, fans have had abundant chances of seeing the pair walk down the red carpet together on galas and award ceremonies.

According to the Marvel actress, the seemingly happy 3 years of marital bliss experienced by the pair had its own little formula for success. Speaking with Esquire, the Black Widow actress claimed:

“Look, I’m with a Frenchman. I think jealousy comes with the territory. But I’d rather be with someone who’s a little jealous than someone who’s never jealous. There’s something a little dead-ish about them. A little bit depressing. It may not make sense, but you need to feel it a little. I know, irrational, right?”

Oscar-winning actress Scarlett Johansson has been married thrice, and considering her extensive search for a life partner in each of these men, it may even be well within her right to educate others with her opinion on what constitutes a good marriage. She separated from Dauriac in 2017 and began dating Saturday Night Live comedian, Colin Jost, within a few months. They were married in 2020 and welcomed their first child together, Cosmo, a year later.

The year was an especially busy one for the A-lister since 2021 also marked the birth of her son with Colin Jost. Since then, Johansson has been busy filming Wes Anderson’s next great star-studded epic, Asteroid City, and the Greg Berlanti space race film, Project Artemis with Channing Tatum and Woody Harrelson that will premiere on Apple TV+.

Asteroid City will premiere on 16 June 2023.
