Jada Smith’s book is definitely going to be a source of secret unfolder as the media tour of her book already revealed excruciating and never-known details of her relationship with Will Smith and the infamous Oscar slap to comedian and then Oscar host Chris Rock.
Rock, who also asked Jada out at one point, made a “G.I. Jane” joke directed at Jada’s shaved head. Although Smith was seen laughing at it at first, seeing Jada’s response to the joke, he went on the stage and hit a hard slap on Rock’s face. “Keep my wife’s name out of your f*cking mouth,” he said at the time (via Yahoo Entertainment). In a recent interview with Today Show host Hoda Kotb, Jarda revealed that she and her husband were separated for a long time. “What is going on?” Jada recalled the Oscar moment.
“First of all, I’m really shocked, because mind you, I’m not there. We haven’t called each other husband and wife in a long time… I’m like, ‘What is going on right now? Keep my wife’s name out of your mouth?’ I’m really worried for Will because I don’t know what’s going on.”
Jada Smith was shocked when her husband called her “wife” as they had been separated for quite a while. Smith went on to win an Oscar for his role in King Richard.

Jada Smith further stated that cameras failed to capture Rock apologizing to her after the joke. “Will’s still talking ’cause now he’s mad because Chris is talking to me, and I go, ‘Chris, this is about some old s*it.’ That’s all I could think to say. It’s not him whatsoever,” she told the outlet. It was all in the past and fans were just getting over the shocking moment until now.
