The GTA 6 release date has been the crux of intense fan speculation and rumors ever since Rockstar Games stated the game is “well underway” as part of a GTA Online Community Update. But, finally, the rumors might stop for good as one leaker has made the bold claim about the release date of the game. And his track record gives GTA fans little choice but to take him seriously.
The leaker, Nuro, had previously predicted that the reveal trailer for GTA 6 would be released in December which has already come true. And if he is indeed right again, the partners of GTA fans worldwide already have the perfect Valentine’s Day gift to give.
Only downside? Rockstar Games is notorious for its internally high price tags. So, the game is sure to burn a hole through the pockets of the partners.
Gta 6 Set for a Valentines’ Release?
Rockstar Games are known for playing their cards close to their chest. But leaker Nuro had correctly predicted that the reveal trailer for GTA 6 would be released in December. Sometime later, Rockstar Games announced that the trailer would drop on December 6 2024 via their official account on X. Now, a post on X claims that Nuro has revealed that the game will drop on February 18th, 2025.
The post got plenty of traction on X as it garnered over 32k views. Fans flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts on the matter. While the majority took the news to be true, some fans were not so convinced.
One fan wrote, “It’s only a rumor, still no official word from Sony“. Another user disagreed with a lot of conviction stating, “I’m 100% sure that GTA VI is not releasing January-February 2025, pin this.” And a couple of them posted memes that made fun of the leak, questioning its authenticity.
A section of fans have already accepted the leaked date to be true proclaiming their anticipations for the game. One fan commented, “I believe it GTA 6 FEBRUARY 2025“. However, one fan made a bold claim stating a different release date altogether saying, “MAY 14TH 2024“
Fans could not care less about naysayers as they have been hankering for any news and updates for a new game in the franchise as it had been more than a decade since GTA V launched in 2013. Several leaks have already suggested that the game will be the biggest ever open-world game and is going to eat a lot of disk space.

Fans have had to wait for more than a decade for the sixth installment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. But as the GTA 6 release date approaches nearer, fan excitement is almost palpable, even over the internet. With Rockstar Games making it mandatory for employees to come to office five days of week after details of the trailer were leaked online, tensions are at an all-time high.
But all will be forgotten if GTA 6 could sate the fan expectations. After all, Rockstar Games has previously showered the community with masterpieces in the form of GTA San Andreas, Red Dead Redemption 2, and GTA V.
