Love is a complicated thing, especially when one is constantly in the spotlight. For Hollywood couple Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth, their love story has been a roller-coaster ride filled with ups, downs, and just about everything in between.
Their romantic journey did not exactly start out normal. In 2012, LaBeouf and Goth got to know each other on the set of Lars von Trier’s erotic art flick Nymphomaniac. Their connection was immediate, and it was sparking on and off-screen. Despite the significant age difference (LaBeouf was 26 and Goth was only 19 at the time), their chemistry was obvious.
But as was often the case in relationships, problems were brewing between them as well. There were reports making headlines in 2015 that the couple got into a heated argument. The argument broke up quickly to avoid any more serious damage, but the actor is alleged to have threatened to “kill her” if he had stayed there.

After getting to know each other in the 2012 film Nymphomaniac, Shia LeBeouf went on to date British actress Mia Goth. The two eventually got married on October 10, 2016. But his union with the actress ended in divorce in 2018.
However, true love never gives up. They appeared stronger than ever after resolving their differences, and it was reported in 2022 that they had reconciled. However, in July 2015, following a furious altercation in Germany between LaBeouf and Goth, the Fury star drove off with a group of strangers, declaring that he “would have killed her” if he had stayed.
Entertainment Tonight obtained a disturbing video of him telling Goth,
“I don’t want to touch you. I don’t want to be aggressive. This is the kind of s—t that makes a person abusive.”
LaBeouf then went ahead and got into a local’s car to go to the airport. As the star delivered a startling statement, the camera did not stop. He told the men:
“If I’d have stayed there, I would have killed her.”
The actor then talked about guns with the German locals while taking a puff from what looked to be an e-cigarette during the drive. He even seemed to try putting in a FaceTime call with Megan Fox, his co-star from Transformers.
Over the past few years, LaBeouf has displayed an increasing amount of bizarre behavior. At the Studio 54 theater in New York City on June 26, 2014, he was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass, harassment, and disorderly conduct (per BBC).

In an interview with Jon Bernthal for the podcast Real Ones with Jon Bernthal, Shia LaBeouf commended his daughter’s mother, Mia Goth for contacting him during his rehab stay, following a two-year silence. They became the proud parents of their child in March 2022.
The Even Stevens star acknowledged that
“She saved my f*cking life.”
Even though LaBeouf did not have anything to give her, Goth was
“Present for me at a time when I didn’t deserve to have nobody in my life, especially her.She gave me hope when I was really running on fumes.”
Goth and LaBeouf have kept their personal affairs secret from the public, despite their ups and downs in the past. They both still give each other support and lead somewhat quiet lives.
Though their story may not fit the mold of the typical Hollywood power couple, it is proof that love is a journey with many unanticipated detours. LaBeouf and Goth’s love story has been shaped by the highs and lows of their relationship.
