John Cena and Nikki Bella’s heartbreaking split-up

John Cena and Nikki Bella’s relationship was one of the most adored couples in WWE and both were quite comfortable with the overlapping of their personal and professional lives. Cena also went on to propose to Nikki Bella in a wholesome fashion in front of the WWE universe. But not long before their engagement, the duo called off their wedding, as Nikki Bella wasn’t sure about their marriage. Bella stated,

“I think a lot of women get into this situation when it’s like, ‘I love this person, but I don’t know if it’s right for my life,’ and that’s a hard thing. Sometimes we meet amazing people, but we’re just meant to live a different life. I just got this feeling so deep in my gut of, like, ‘I need to walk away’. Even though it’s painful and even traumatizing, I just knew it was right.”

But it wasn’t only her uncertainty that led to her decision to call off the wedding, as Bella went on to express that she didn’t want to force John Cena to start a family if he wasn’t ready for one.

In addition to Bella’s uncertainty about her marriage with Cena, another prime factor behind her decision to cut ties with John Cena was her dream of becoming a mother.

After being together for six years, the couple understood they don’t see eye to eye on the matter of starting a family, as John Cena was hesitant about becoming a father. And even though Cena accepted to become a father, Nikki Bella felt like she was forcing her dreams on the Peacemaker actor and eventually decided to part ways. She stated,

“Even in the end when he was willing to give me kids, I could just tell it’s not what we wanted. And that’s really, like, you know, what pushed me in the end, was like, if I’m going to force someone to be a father,”
