In a concept trailer recently uploaded to YouTube, fans get to see what it would be like if Jenna Ortega ever had the privilege of playing one of DC’s favorite female superheroes. Not only did the trailer put the young actress in the lead role, but it also gave DC fans an iconic character back – Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.

Leslie Grace’s Batgirl was unfortunately shelved before it could become a part of the DCEU. However, disappointed fans now get to take a look at what the film could’ve been like thanks to a fan-made trailer. The only difference is that Grace has been replaced by Jenna Ortega.

KH Studio took to YouTube a few days ago to release their trailer of Batgirl starring Ortega. Of course, the trailer is not linked to the DCU in any shape or form, however, it is a great way of seeing Batgirl come to life, even if it is through the use of AI.

The trailer starts off with Ortega as Barbara Gordon sitting in a room and having a conversation with someone behind the camera. As ALIBI Music’s Shadows of the Night plays in the background, the trailer continues on to show glimpses of Ortega’s journey as the classic DC heroine.

As per the video’s description, KH Studios “meticulously incorporated various effects, sound design, AI technologies, movie analytics, and other elements” in order to bring this vision to life.

The trailer also sees J.K. Simmons returning as Jim Gordon. Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn is also revealed to be the person talking to Barbara at the beginning of the fan-made trailer. Therefore, not only did fans get to see Ortega “play” Batgirl, but they also witnessed their favorite characters return to their roles. It’s a win-win situation for all!

Fans Praise Jenna Ortega as Batgirl

Even though it has only been five days since the trailer was released on YouTube, it has surpassed a million views already. Clearly, fans are loving this little idea of having Robbie and Ortega star in a DC film together. While there is obviously no truth to the trailer, fans are still going gaga over it and the idea of the Scream actress as Batgirl.

Here are a few of the many comments praising the trailer:

“@MoneysWorthMidusd: This is actually a good one. Salute to whoever made this one.

@Bloody_Assasin: Honestly if it was real I would watch it.

@user-uk1sb7ny8l: I would love to see both those together in this.

@none3769: Great job whoever made this!

@user-ov6zo8si3s: yess Jenna Ortega She’s perfect for Batgirl.

@4EverKitten: Damn I would love her as Batgirl.”

Needless to say, if James Gunn decides to bring back Batgirl sometime in the future, fans wouldn’t be too mad if he gets Ortega to play the titular character. Bonus points if Robbie returns as Harley Quinn!
