This sequence became a sensation with fans and gave rise to many reels featuring viewers trying their hand at these steps. With season 2 having been given the green signal, latest information coming from the DC camp is that the beginning of each episode will now commence with a brand new dance number. But this decision is throwing up a few criticisms from fans.

Peacemaker 2 Will Have A Brand New Opening Dance Sequence

John Cena who portrayed Christopher Smith aka Peacemaker who is hellbent on bringing peace to the world at any cost, became a fan-favorite after his 2022 standalone show. The wrestler-turned-actor’s towering physique and charismatic presence was a perfect fit for the popular DC  superhero who first featured in Suicide Squad.

Interestingly, one of the unique and unexpected aspects of the series was the viral opening dance number before every episode featuring a hilarious, deadpan Cena and the ensemble cast indulging in goofy, robotic moves that became a sensation. The song titled Do Ya Wanna Taste It by the Norwegian metal band Wig Wam, lent itself perfectly to be choreographed by Charissa Barton.

According to latest reports coming in from the DC camp, Peacemaker 2 which is set to hit TV screens in the future, will see a brand new opening dance number. Barton’s husband and actor Alan Tudyk who interestingly stood in for the lead actor during the intial days of his wife’s choreography, confirmed this via Collider during an event at the Fan Expo in Boston.

My wife is involved. I think that’s all I can tease, it is a new dance number.

Tudyk revealed that Barton initially used him as a trial subject to attempt the steps to see if they would fit well for the song, and also to gauge how they would work for Cena. As it turned out, this spunky dance number went on to be one of the best parts of the show.
