The renowned singer-actress is quite infamous for taking brief breaks and the timing is seemingly too abrupt given that she has recently made headlines with her bestie, Taylor Swift at this year’s Golden Globe Awards.

Renowned singer, Selena Gomez recently took to Instagram late Tuesday to announce that she would be quitting social media. She uploaded a video of her boyfriend, Benny Blanco with two kids kissing the music producer. Meanwhile, the caption written over the video stated, 

“I’m off social for a while. I’m focusing on what really matters.”

However, her numerous breaks seemed to have left almost no impact on Internet users, who couldn’t help but get irked by her move. They took to X to share their thoughts on her umpteenth break from social media.

Her break came after her viral moment at the 2024 Golden Globes gossip time hit the Internet.

Gomez hit headlines for her animated gossip session with bestie, Taylor Swift, and Miles Teller’s wife, Keleigh Sperry. In the video, the Wolves singer was seen spilling the tea to the Enchanted singer. Meanwhile, another video surfaced in which Sperry allegedly seemed to question, “With Timothée?”

While many started wondering what the trio was gossiping about, lip-reading expert Jeremy Freeman via Page Six confirmed the fan theories that the Only Murders in the Building faced rejection when she asked Chalamet for a picture. She asked him to take a picture with her, but Kylie Jenner’s beau refused, probably due to her old beef with Hailey Bieber, who is Jenner’s friend. 

However, the Disney alum has already set the records straight by commenting on E! News’ Instagram post. She wrote,

“Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up. Not that that’s anyone business.”

A source further told the outlet that she never asked the Little Women actor for a picture. Nonetheless, her break is surprising to almost no one given that she announced the same numerous times last year.
