Who is Kidpool in the Marvel’s upcoming film Deadpool 3?

According to the reports, young actor Walker Scobell will be playing the role of Kidpool in Reynolds’ upcoming Marvel film Deadpool 3. Scobell has earlier worked with the Deadpool actor and starred in the Netflix film The Adam Project in 2022. Reynolds recently liked a tweet about Scobell’s role as Kidpool.

As per Marvel Comics, the character Kidpool is a child version of Deadpool. He has a wisecracking personality with regenerative healing power. And he too has a penchant for breaking the fourth wall. The character was introduced in Deadpool #2 comics in 2008. It was part of the storyline, where Deadpool encountered a variety of alternate versions of himself in different dimensions.

In the story, Kidpool enters from an alternate universe, where Deadpool is a child, but he possesses qualities similar to adult Deadpool. He also has a similar sense of humor and fighting skills.

According to reports, Deadpool 3 will feature several Deadpool variants, including Lady Deadpool, Dogpool, Headpool (Zombie Deadpool), and Babypool (Baby Deadpool). They are all part of the Deadpool Corp.

Details of Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming film Deadpool 3

The upcoming film Deadpool 3 will be directed by Shawn Levy, who has earlier worked with Ryan Reynolds in Free Guy and The Adam Project. Reynolds also acknowledged the news about the director for his upcoming film. He posted an edited poster for The Adam Project featuring Guy from Free Guy and Deadpool with the caption,

The third film in my Shawn Levy trilogy will be a tad more stabby.”

According to the new poster of Deadpool 3 by renowned artist Bosslogic on Instagram, Reynolds is seen teaming up with Scobell’s Kidpool. Along with the new character, the poster also features Doctor Strange‘s Mystic Arts portals, Spider-Man, and a glimpse of Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine character.

The poster has been making rounds on social media not long after Scobell’s monologue from Deadpool 2, taken from an interview for The Adam Project. The actor has managed to impress the audience with his acting and speech. He has excellently captured Deadpool’s signature style and mannerisms, which made it easier to cast him for the role.

In Deadpool 3 Reynolds stars as Wade Wilson or Deadpool alongside Hugh Jackman, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jennifer Garner. It will be released in 2024.
