The 66th Annual Grammy Awards were all about Taylor Swift. Not only did she take home two awards, but she also made Grammy history by being the artist with the most Album of the Year awards. Additionally, the singer announced the release of her upcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department, coming out on April 19 this year.
While Taylor Swift is a self-made icon, she has the support of many loving people in her life, including her beau, Travis Kelce. The football tight end is always seen supporting his girlfriend as he dances and sings along to her songs as she performs at the Eras Tour. After Taylor Swift’s win at the Grammys, Travis Kelce once again sang praises for the singer and promised to win the Super Bowl 58.
Travis Kelce Makes a Promise to Taylor Swift
As Taylor Swift went on to have quite the night at the 2024 Grammys, she was not joined by Travis Kelce. This was because the pro-athlete was busy traveling to Las Vegas, preparing for Super Bowl LVIII. After all, both Swift and Kelce are masters of their fields!
During a press conference for the game, Kelce was asked how he felt about his girlfriend’s big win. Beaming with pride, the footballer replied (via People), “She’s unbelievable. She’s re-writing the history books herself.” Not only did he praise Swift, he also revealed a bargain he made with the Dear Reader singer. Kelce stated, “I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and come home with hardware, too.”
The “hardware” in question is nothing but the Vince Lombardi Trophy given to the winners of the Super Bowl a.k.a. the biggest award in the world of football since 1967.
Travis Kelce is All Set for the Super Bowl
Scheduled for the coming Sunday (February 11), Super Bowl LVIII will be played between Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. The Chiefs are returning to the field after winning the last Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles.
If the Chiefs manage to win again this year, it will be their fourth Super Bowl win, having already won in 2023, 2020, and 1970. In fact, their game in 2020 during Super Bowl LIV was against the San Francisco 49ers where the Chiefs won 31-20.
This time, however, the stakes might be a little higher than usual. Why? Well, it’s safe to say that more eyes would be on Kelce than before as many Swifties would be watching the game this year thanks to their idol. We hope we get to see Swift supporting her boyfriend at the stadium during the important game. However, it might be a bit difficult due to the hectic Eras Tour dates.
