The actor had a hilarious banter with Batman villains Danny DeVito (who played Penguin in Batman Returns) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (who played Mr. Freeze in Batman & Robin).

The moment involved both actors hating on Batman and calling out Keaton for the injustices done to them. Keaton gave a stern and intense look, instantly becoming Bruce Wayne at the moment as he signaled them to give him whatever they got. It was a funny yet satisfying moment for fans of Keaton’s Batman over the years.

Keaton appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and detailed how the Oscar moment came to be. The actor revealed that while the whole skit was pre-planned, he wanted to add his own style to it. He wanted the moment to stand out, so he brought along an extra suit just for that short moment. The suit along with his intense act, made it a pure Bruce Wayne moment. He said,

“The great thing, if I don’t mind saying so myself, I brought along an ascot, [like a] wardrobe change, because I thought, ‘If I’m going to do this, I’m going to Bruce Wayne it up a little bit.’ I figured people just saw me on stage, nice touch, wasn’t it?”

Keaton has not lost his Bruce Wayne mannerisms and he would have been perfect for a Batman Beyond project where he mentors a younger Batman. While Warner Bros might have missed the opportunity to do it previously, it can be a possibility under James Gunn. The project can exist as an Elseworld thing and it will make many fans of Batman and Keaton very happy if it happens.
