Tom Brady Reveals He Will Be Calling Next Year’s Super Bowl

Therefore, it is safe to say that Brady is inseparable from the biggest game in American football and arguably all of sports.
However, on February 1, 2023, Brady announced his retirement from the NFL, bringing his playing career to a close. Nonetheless, the former Quarterback inked a deal with Fox to become an analyst that would keep him connected to football. As a result, fans were anticipating Brady’s return to the Super Bowl at Super Bowl LVIII which will take place on February 11, 2024.
This year’s Super Bowl is to be played between San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs. However, in a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Brady addressed his future as a commentator and revealed he would not be on the panel for this year’s Super Bowl. He stated:
“Next year I’m gonna be calling a Super Bowl for FOX which is gonna be incredible.”
Brady made the above statement confirming that his deal with Fox starts with the 2024 NFL season. As a result, he will not be commentating at Super Bowl LVIII. During the aforementioned interview, Brady revealed that he was excited to start a new chapter in his career as a commentator. He believed that 23 years as a player gave him unique insights into the game and could not wait to join the team at Fox Sports. Brady made the following statement answering how he would approach his commentating career:
“I’m just going to go in there and do the best I can do with my own perspective and I certainly have had a unique vision and perspective of the game of 23 years. And hopefully, I just can provide some insight to all the viewers and all the fans love the game.”
On May 10, 2022, it was announced that Tom Brady would be joining Fox Sports as the lead color commentator. Brady signed a ten-year contract with Fox that will commence with the new NFL season later this year. According to reports, the deal with Fox would net him a whopping $375 Million across ten years, making Brady the highest-paid sports commentator.
