After Pugh and Zendaya expressed their sentiments about the popcorn buckets, actor Josh Brolin also spoke out about their weird nature. In a new interview, Brolin stated that he was uncomfortable with the sandworm-shaped buckets, echoing the sentiments of his co-stars. Here is what Josh Brolin about the viral popcorn buckets used for marketing Dune: Part Two.

In Dune: Part Two, actor Josh Brolin essays the role of Gurney Halleck, the mentor figure to Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides. Brolin was recently promoting the film when he was asked about the viral marketing gimmick of using sandworm-shaped popcorn buckets at AMC theaters.

Brolin was talking to Entertainment Tonight when he was asked about viral containers. The Thanos actor stated the following in response:

“I’m not sticking my hand in there. I’m good, I’ll starve.”

Brolin is clearly not a fan of the containers and also added that only idiots would put their hands inside the popcorn buckets. Brolin’s comments echo the sentiments of his co-star Florence Pugh.

The Black Widow actress recently appeared on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, to promote the film. Pugh was surprised after seeing the shape of the popcorn buckets and stated the following:

“Who made that? That’s not okay. That’s wrong.”

As a result, it is safe to deduce that Pugh was clearly not on board with the idea of sandworm-shaped popcorn containers to promote the film. Similarly, Brolin was also of the same opinion and did not think the containers were a practical way to enjoy popcorn while watching the film.

Dave Bautista Had a Hilariously Opposite Reaction to His Co-Stars

While Pugh and Brolin were not fans of the sandworm-shaped popcorn buckets, actor Dave Bautista opined otherwise. Bautista reprises his role as Glossu Rabban Harkonnen from the first film. While promoting the second installment, Bautista spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the viral popcorn buckets.

“I’d do the exact opposite!”

Bautista boastfully made the above statement while showing an eagerness to eat the popcorn out of the sandworm buckets. While most of the cast members did not like the idea of a sandworm-shaped popcorn bucket, most of them thought it was a good marketing gimmick.
