One can often find Laurence Fishburne’s name in the media for his brilliant work in The Matrix franchise.
Starring opposite Keanu Reeves in The Matrix (1999), Fishburne portrays one of the central characters named Morpheus, an elusive figure considered to be the most dangerous man alive. The plot revolves around Neo’s (Reeves) search for answers about the Matrix and subsequently, Morpheus. This sets the tone for the movie that made a massive $467.2 million at the box office and kick-started a pretty iconic franchise.
However, the Academy Award-nominated actor is also often in the news because of his daughter, Montana Fishburne. But more often than not, it’s for the wrong reason.
How Laurence Fishburne’s Intoxicated Daughter Reacted in Front of Cops
Montana Fishburne is the eldest daughter of Laurence Fishburne and his first wife, actress Hajna O. Moss. She first came to the limelight in 2010 after featuring in a s*x tape in 2010.
In 2017, she again attracted unwanted headlines after she was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). However, more than the arrest itself, what spiked the interest of everyone was the footage released by the Florida Highway Patrol that showed how strangely she behaved during the moment.
It all started after the actress allegedly rear-ended another vehicle. She was stopped and told to take breathalyzer tests. When asked to take a field sobriety test, Fishburne reportedly gave the officer a hard time.
Later, the officer went on to arrest the 25-year-old for drunk driving, which escalated the chaotic nature of the whole situation. “Can I ask you why?” she asked, before saying she had to urinate. A threat concerning the same followed before she did it right then and there. “I’m not tripping, I’m f***ing ratchet,” she said (via The Miami Herald).
At the time, it was claimed Fishburne was working as a stripper after her short stint as a p*rn star.

Fishburne isn’t the only famous Hollywood parent, who finds his name in the media frequently because of his daughter. The Kardashian family dominated the newspaper in 2007 after Vivid Entertainment released Kim Kardashian‘s s*x tape with Ray J.
Incidentally, Montana’s video was also released through the same outfit. Speaking about her decision, she told Reuters:
“I’ve been aware of the industry for four years. After I turned 18, I started to seriously think about the best way for me to enter (the business). I was impressed with Kim Kardashian’s success after her tape was released by Vivid and decided to call the company to see if I could arrange a meeting. I met with (founder and co-chairman) Steven Hirsch and convinced him that I knew what I wanted, and we planned my movie debut.”
She went on to reveal that after the release of the film, she talked to her father, who said he was embarrassed by her. Whether the actor is in direct touch with his daughter these days remains unclear.
