Emma Watson’s Obsession With Mexican Food

Emma Watson firmly believes that food has the power to both satiate the body’s needs and calm the senses. Her love of Mexican food strikes the perfect harmony between flavor and nutrient content. She once told The Huffington Post:

“I love La Esquina. I’m obsessed with Mexican. We don’t have Mexican food in England, we just kill it. That’s one of the first things I do when I come here.”

“Mexican food. I make a really amazing egg tortilla in the morning. It’s my special thing. I make guacamole, salsa, and scrambled eggs, and then I cook the tortilla. It’s pretty simple, really, but yummy.”

She even stated that enrolling in culinary school was high on her list of priorities.

“I don’t like using recipes — I like to cook things I just know how to cook. I figure if I went and really learned, I would be the kind of person who could open the fridge and be like, ‘I know what I will make with this one piece of celery and this random piece of butter and this pasta.’”

“This is 33. Holy moly. Before 29 I hadn’t even heard of a Saturn Return as a concept. Let’s just say that now I am well acquainted.”

She said she “stepped away from my life” after adding a few emojis to indicate that the previous few years had been something else.

Additionally, Watson talked about beginning a “women’s environmental investment fund”, learning to play golf and pickleball, and then attempting to “make all of my girlfriends learn too”.

Watson was not in a rush to get older, but she also was not whining about it either. She earlier shared with British Vogue:

“I was like, ‘Why does everyone make such a big fuss about turning 30? This is not a big deal…’ Cut to 29, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I feel so stressed and anxious’.”

But what prompted her anxiety in particular? She explained that it was difficult for her to reconcile all of the expectations she had for herself by the time she turned 30.

“I realize it’s because there is suddenly this bloody influx of subliminal messaging around. If you have not built a home, if you do not have a husband, if you do not have a baby, and you are turning 30, and you’re not in some incredibly secure, stable place in your career, or you’re still figuring things out…there’s just this incredible amount of anxiety.”
