British actress Florence Pugh made a name for herself in the movie industry with projects like Little Woman, Midsommar, Lady Macbeth, and, of course, one of her most famous movies, Oppenheimer. Her talent in acting is beyond compare, as she molds herself into her characters, becoming a part of the role she portrays. Last seen in the Christopher Nolan flick as Jean Tatlock, opposite Cillian Murphy, albeit in a short role, Pugh managed to wow audiences.
But do you Pugh has many other talents other than acting? Apart from being a talented actress, she is also a talented singer. And allegedly, also a pretty good pimple popper. As Pugh called herself – if not an actress, she could have been a ‘Pugh-tician.’
Florence Pugh – The Pughtician
Florence Pugh is pretty good at pimple-popping, something she boasts about herself. Her extraordinary skills lie in an area that she calls her “niche thing.” While speaking with IGV last year, the Black Widow actress opened up about her hidden talent of “squeezing pimples,” shocking even the host, who could not believe she told him that.
But Pugh unabashedly let the world know exactly what it means being a Pughtician.
“My stylist, Rebecca, whenever she has anything on her face, [she] will message me and be like, ‘What do I do with this?’ or ‘I’m going to show you this later’ or ‘Do you have anything for this?’ So I’ll give out spot stickers. I’m quite good at that.”
Saying that it’s like Operation, Pugh’s younger self thought that if the acting gig didn’t work out, she would open up a “Pugh-tician.”
Midnight Ft. Florence Pugh by Toby Sebastian
Back in 2021, Florence Pugh’s brother, Toby Sebastian, released a single titled Midnight. Toby, who is an actor and singer by profession, has been releasing music since he was 21 years old, along with doing acting projects every now and then. Speaking to BBC, the Game of Thrones alum said that it was his mother who gave him the idea to add Pugh’s vocals to the track, which turned out to be incredible.
“My mum asked ‘Have you played her the song? Don’t you fancy some backing vocals from your sister?’ It’s funny how things go. I can’t imagine the song without Flo’s voice on it now… Her voice is so different to mine, she has such an interesting tone and so much depth.”
Pugh, both an incredible singer and actor (and a pimple popper) is currently busy with the release of her upcoming movie – Dune: Part II alongside Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Austin Butler, and other. The Denis Villeneuve movie is all set to release on March 1, 2024.
